Concrete Pavers

Precast interlocking concrete units laid over a compacted base, used for patios, walkways, and driveways without pouring a slab.

Concrete Pavers

Best for

  • Patios and walkways needing a clean, uniform look
  • Driveways where individual units can be lifted for utility repairs
  • DIY installation over a proper compacted base

Avoid when

  • Very tight budgets where poured concrete may cost less per square foot

The base matters more than the pavers

A compacted gravel base of 10-15 cm plus a bedding sand layer is what actually keeps pavers level for decades — skipping proper base preparation is the single biggest cause of sunken, uneven paver patios.

Individual units can be lifted and reset

Unlike a poured slab, a section of paver patio can be lifted to access utilities or fix a low spot and reset without patching or colour-matching new concrete, a real advantage over a monolithic pour.
